My dad has always had a special place in my heart. He taught me how to have compassion for others and to work hard. We always try to go down the field when we are in Beaver and see what improvements have been made. My dad has a very close relationship with his brothers, especially Floyd and Dale. They have taught us that family comes first and you help each other out no matter what. I have learned over the years that trust and dependability are important attributes that my dad and his brothers have passed on to their posterity. I hope that I can do the same.
This is sweet Melinda. It is reminding me that I should do a post about my dad. I love the picture of you and taylor and him.
ReplyDeleteI love all the updated pictures. I'm realizing it has been too long since we've all seen each other...I hardly recognize the kids, they are growing up so fast!
ReplyDeleteI've only met your dad once but I could tell he was a really sweet man. He definitely passed that trait to you:-)
ReplyDeleteI love your dad too. He is the nicest man with such a great sense of humor! And you are doing just as a good a job as he did with you, raising your kids. Really sweet post!
ReplyDeleteI finally know what your dad looks like!! I've always wondered. You DEFINITELY have all of those traits that you admire in your dad! I hope I get the chance to meet him someday and tell him what an awesome friend you are!
ReplyDeleteYardleys rule...or is the plural Yardlies??? :)
ReplyDeleteMelinda, One of the things that I have always loved so much about you is your love for family and that family comes first to you No Matter What. Thank you for following the wonderful example that your dad set for you. We love you and are so appreciative of the love that you have shown to us.
